Welcome to my electronic portfolio! I have created this portfolio to display what technology means to me as an educator. In such an unexpected way, technology has become a passion of mine. Constantly, I am dissecting blogs about technology topics, digging for new ways to use technology, as well as developing ways I can empower my students through the use of technology. My hope for you, as you navigate through my pages, is that you will come to understand what technology means to me, how I will use it within my classroom, and my ability to meet the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS*T).

As you begin to tour the pages of my portfolio, you will first encounter my educational philosophy. My Educational Technology Philosophy demonstrates my appreciation of the changes our culture and society has encountered through the shifts of technology. Throughout my philosophy, I also unravel my core beliefs and the impacts I believe technology has on learning and my role as an educator. On my Digital Learning and Assessment page I have provided a lesson plan which illustrates how I use technology to enhance student achievement. The Digital Work and Learning page demonstrates the technology skills I possess as well as open educational resources (OER) I plan to use in my classroom. Within my Digital Work and Learning page you will also see an educational YouTube video I created, in addition to my classroom website. On my Digital Citizenship page I model for you how I will use digital citizenship as a teacher and how I will strengthen my students to use effective digital citizenship as well. My Professional Growth and Leadership page states how I plan to continue growing professionally in educational technology and how I am determined to develop my own sense of leadership within this area. The Sources page provides all of the citations for the graphics, quotes, and facts I used throughout my portfolio. The last page is my Contact Information. It is very important to me that you know to never hesitate contacting me if you have any questions or comments. I really hope as you peruse through my portfolio that you will identify my skills and thinking as a teacher who is ready to intentionally and successfully integrate technology into my classroom. Thank you for taking the time to browse through my portfolio- I hope you enjoy!
